I just got a baby Redfoot
« on: July 20, 2008, 09:27:30 AM »
I went to a Reptile show here in Orlando today and picked up a Redfoot.  He's a looker.  They were everywhere.  The prices ranged from $55 to $150, I paid $75 which is a steal if you ask me.  I will post up pics pretty soon.

what a cutie! You are very luck and for a great price.  It looks really healthy.  Make sure to have enough mosture for it.

Thanks.

Right now he is on wet Eco Earth that will release a stream of water when you squeeze it in your hand.  He's an active little bugger, walking everywhere.

He still has his egg tooth, but not for long.  I put in a small piece of cuttlebone and he just starting chomping on it right away.  I came back a while later and he was dragging it around with him, I will post pics tomorrow.  Still don't have a name for him (hopefully a him, I don't want to deal with egg bound issues).

I wish I had gotten my red foot reggie when he was a lil tyke. I got em a bit grown. Either way he's always going to be my little guy.  ;D

They are about the same.  The only thing harder with a redfoot is that the mosture levels need to be higher.

Redfoot also need meat, unlike RTs that only eat veggies.  RF can eat fruit too.
