Hello,
I am sad to report that I can no longer care for my sulcata in the ways that he needs and deserves. I have had Peak for about seven years, since he was quite small and had hoped that my living situation would be more stable by the time he grew to be too big to be indoors. that time has come and i still don't have the proper yard or funds to create a home suitable for his size and exercise needs. He is currently about ten pounds. Not that huge but large enough to where i know he hates the tortoise table he lives in. He is a healthy boy who experienced some pyramiding on his shell. This was due to misinformation and a general lack of knowledge when i received him from my friend's niece when i was about 19. i can give lots more information about his health history to whomever might be interested, as for now he has had many check ups and is very healthy. the pyramids don't seem to harm him.
anyways, i live in santa cruz, california and would love to send Peak to a home with people who are familiar with african sulcatas and know what is in store for them. in addition i would like him to have a yard suitable for his ever growing needs and diet. preferably i would like to meet the people who are interested and see their space.
so if you or anyone you know is interested in caring for Peak, please respond here with any contact info that i can reach you on.
thank you so much
alicia
