Encouraging breeding, etc etc
« on: June 06, 2010, 02:00:10 PM »
Hi There,

I've had my female together with male since November, so 7 months. She's big enough, almost 7". He mounts her often, so lots of mating behavoir.  Taking care of them according to all the guidlines on this forum and Joe's main site. (They are indoor torts, but now last two months its warm, they walk or spend a few hrs outside each day as well). Wish their indoor habitat was larger, but it meets the min for two torts.

Sooooo.....

No eggs yet. Should I usually have some in 7 months time together? Am I rushing this too much? Feeling a bit disappointed no eggs yet.

Anything that can be done to encourage this?

Thanks!

There is no straight answer to you're question. Just have to wait & see.
Sometimes when breeding age russians go to a new environment, they won't produce for 2 years.
They don't like changes.
