Third Batch of Eggs!
« on: August 15, 2010, 02:31:58 PM »
So this morning my brother and I adopted a 20 year old female Russian Tortoise. Before we put her in the sanctuary with our other two RT's we were cleaning up and my brother found another batch of 3 eggs. This brings the total up to 8 eggs laid by our female, Mrs. Daisy.

I can't believe she laid 8 in one year. One already has veins and you can see the embryo in another. I'm so excited!

That's great, its not unusual for mine to lay 15-20 in a season.
