I am so jealous I want one so bad!!!!  My hubby would kill me.  We live in Canada so it is hard to find any torts here.  I just got my two in the last month or so and they took months to find.  Another one and I think he may divorce me.  LOL  We went to the Toledo Zoo today and he saw two red foot torts one looked full grown the other was a bit smaller.  He said next time he wants two of those.  He also said he wants an alligator, a shark, as well as a few other large and dangerous animals.  Well maybe he won't divorce me after all.  I will just have to wait to get a bigger house.  Or until my pair mate in a few years.  But every time I hear of some being sold I want to run out and get them I love mine so much.  I didn't know you could fall in love with them so quickly.  My hubby enjoys laughing at me when I talk about them which is all the time.

It is not easy to find torts in Canada.  I spent months making calls.  I would have to drive hours and hours to get some and the prices ranged form $300 to $850 for one.  I lucked out with mine.  I happened to call the right pet store at the right time.  They had Boris and I had them order Natasha for me.  I got lucky that the woman was very knowledgeable and they were very healthy.  There is a reptile expo this month in Toronto.  A four hour drive for me.  My hubby and I will be going, I can't wait!

I just followed your link. Are all the sellers on there good sources?

We have a male that is a few years old. We got him at a pet store, he is doing great. We would like to add to our tort family. My daughter is wanting to become a herpetologist, and we are not up for snakes yet.   But we reallly like Stoli, he is fun to watch and interact with. And we would like to add a friend to his home.  We are hoping to get a female, not for breeding, just for companionship. So here I am doing some research.
