Cracking Egg
« on: August 27, 2010, 08:45:17 AM »
Two of my 8 eggs have veins and an embryo visible upon candleing but just the other day I noticed one has a light crack along the side. It wasn't there before.

Has anyone experienced this before? I'm so disappointed. Im sure it's just a matter of time before it rots.

Not necessarily, I've had cracked eggs hatch. Some people put a little tape over the crack, but I'd recommend leaving it alone.
The only cracked eggs I remember not hatching are the ones that oozed fluid out the crack.

Oh nice! That is great news. I thought it was a lost cause but I just left it to make sure. Well next week is week 8 of incubation. Hopefully it will hatch!

Thanks!
